You may have noticed during yesterday's trailer during The Game Awards 2022 that there was a dog fighting with Clive in Final Fantasy 16. It's actually a wolf, and today we're going to get more details about it.

According to new details posted on the PlayStation Blog, this wolf is named Torgal. This wolf was orphaned during one of Archduke Elwin's travels. An attack on Rosaria by the Holy Empire of Sunbreak nearly ends the lives of Clive and Torgal, but after they are separated, they are reunited after more than a decade. Torgal has not forgotten his former master in all this time, and has proven himself to be as loyal as the best of boys.

Torgal can attack in battle and can even heal Clive's wounds. It's also suggested that Torgal can perform devastating "double attacks" if Clive gets his commands right. The development team has confirmed that Final Fantasy 16 will offer different difficulty levels that can satisfy all players' tastes. One such mode is called Story Focus, which will make the game seem easy so that the player can focus primarily on the story events.

Final Fantasy 16 will be the first RPG in the series to feature a unique battle system. Recently, game director Hiroshi Takai said that the game's development is "about 95%" complete. The game's release date will be on the 22nd of the month of the 6th of next year, 2023.
