Rockstar's music is simply part of the spirit of their games in general, and GTA Online specifically, and that's because Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, is very passionate about anything related to music.
Last year we saw Rockstar launch a brand in partnership with CircoLoco. Where This powerful musical inspiration has been more clearly incorporated into GTA Online over the past two years. Starting with December 2020’s Cayo Perico Heist update, which featured Moodymann, Joy Orbison, Palms Trax and Keinemusik, and a notable debut for West Coast legends Dr. Dre and DJ Pooh.
Publisher Rockstar isn’t stopping anytime soon to show off more music-related content. For example, update “Contract.”
So the question remains, what’s Rockstar’s next big idea for music? According to a reliable source, Rockstar will allow players to create their own songs and beats in GTA Online, and similarly, there’s been an interesting development in how Take-Two Interactive is doing. It’s Rockstar’s parent company, registering a trademark as “rapponator.com” in October 2020.

This idea has been floating around Rockstar for a while now, much like Rockstar considering Michael de Santa to debut in GTA Online. Just like half of the Contract update focused on Franklin Clinton and the other half on Dr. Dre. So we can expect a future update with half focused on “Michael” and the other half on creating his own music.
