Many of us may not realize that it is possible to access your PS Plus account from your PC and play some games. This feature is already available to subscribers of the highest premium package, as the service offers the opportunity to play games via cloud streaming on your computer.

Sony has merged the PlayStation Now service with the PlayStation Plus service and given us the Premium package available to US accounts and some European accounts. We note that accounts in the Middle East region do not have the cloud streaming feature, unfortunately.

So if you want to use this feature on your personal computer, you must have a subscription to the PlayStation Plus service through the US store. The price of the Premium package subscription is $ 18 per month and $ 120 for the entire year.

Requirements for playing PS Plus games on a PC

  • Windows PC (not available on Mac)
  • Minimum Intel Core i3 CPU Processor
  • 2 GB random memory (RAM)
  • USB input
  • sound card
  • 300 MB of storage space

It's worth remembering that the service works via cloud streaming, so you won't need super specs to run games on your computer.

The most important thing here is to connect to the internet, you should make sure that you have a connection speed of at least 5 Mbps. Also, make sure that the Ping response rate is very low to ensure that the games run smoothly.

The third and final condition is the presence of a controller compatible with the Windows system, and here we recommend using the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller compatible with all PlayStation Plus games.

Download the PS Plus app on your PC

  • Visit the official PlayStation website here
  • On the page, go to download the PS Plus app
  • Now click on the blue button and start downloading the application
  • After completion, click on the download file, follow the installation steps

Now the PS Plus app is installed on your PC and you will find the launch icon on your desktop. When you open the app, you will have to log in with your PSN account.

Once you confirm that you are logged in, you will notice the appearance of the game library, which includes more than 700 different titles, and you will be able to enjoy most of them on your personal computer.

With the PS Plus app installed, you can now connect your DualShock 4 controller to your PC, either via USB cable or Bluetooth. Once you've done this, you'll need to use your mouse to switch to controller mode in the top right corner of the screen.

Once you swap out this button, which has a screen and gamepad as its icon, you'll see that the DualShock 4 controller works the same way it does on the PS4. You can use it to switch between games to choose the title you want to play.

Don't forget also that the app supports Cross Save shared storage with your PlayStation device, all you need to do is sync your save files via PlayStation Plus Cloud.

How to access and play

Unfortunately, the PS Plus game library interface on PC doesn't offer a search option. Instead, you'll find games organized alphabetically, and you'll need to scroll through them to get to the title you want to play. There will also be a List menu where games you choose to add to the list will appear during the manual search process.

Once you find a game you want to play, click on it to open its details page. You'll see a brief overview of what to expect from the game and two clickable buttons. You can save the game to your list for easy access next time, or launch the game. If you don't have a compatible controller connected to your device, the game won't launch.

This way, you can access the PS Plus game library through your PC and enjoy some games.
