The director of Lies of P has revealed how long it will take players to complete the game. He also talked about the side content that will greatly increase the game's lifespan.
Lies of P is very similar to the Souls games, and even takes some basic ideas from them. It revolves around the famous and dark character Pinocchio, not the one known from the Disney world.
Game director Choi Ji Won has spoken about how long it will take to complete the main story and confirmed that it will take the average player 30 hours. He also stated that there will be an additional 30 hours of side quests, so the amount of time it will take to complete the full game is 60 hours.
Prankster101 conducted an informative interview with the game's director. Both sides talked about the game's world and the number of hours in the game, as well as comparing it to its major inspiration Bloodborne. The director had this to say:
Our game has a different theme and background than Bloodborne.
The hours of gameplay are many and will satisfy all groups of players, whether they are those who love exploration or quick finishes.
Additional DLC will be released after the game’s launch, as there are many different Pinocchio stories we plan to tell players.
The director also mentioned that he was happy to compare his game to the aforementioned From Software title, but said that the experiences between the two titles are completely different, especially the story events and characters.
The game is set to release next year in 2023 on PS5 and Xbox Series, as well as PC. You can see more about the game here, as the development team Neowiz spoke about why they specifically chose Pinocchio over other stories to tell as a game.
