The game director of Days Gone appeared again to answer players' questions about whether we will see the sequel to the game, to categorically answer that we do not dream of seeing the second part of the game for several reasons that we will mention to you below.
Yesterday, a reliable source confirmed that Sony has invested in the Bend Studio team’s next project, putting in an amount of approximately a quarter of a billion US dollars. It is said to be a joint game project set in the world of Days Gone. For more details…
Days Gone will not be getting a sequel now or even in the future!
This news caused the gaming community to turn to game director Jeff Rose to confirm the opportunity to see the second part of the Days Ago game, so the director responded through a tweet on his account, citing Insider Gaming:
“Many players keep asking me about the possibility of seeing a Days Gone sequel, so my answer will serve as definitive proof that the sequel will never happen. For starters, Sony bosses like Herman Hulst have never been fans of the title, so you’ll never hear about Part 2 at any State of Play event or episode.”
The director responded to other players' questions about Days Ago's development budget, which totaled approximately $150 million. He had confirmed that he had requested the same amount to work on the second part, but Sony categorically refused.
For many, the game will remain one of Sony's best exclusives of all time. What about you, our followers, do you see this as an underdog exclusive?
