Yesterday, it was revealed that Game Informer would be covering Resident Evil 4 Remake in the upcoming issue of their magazine this month. Along with this announcement, the game's developers have released a bunch of new information that we'll share with you below.
The game was built almost from scratch, being developed by three teams at Capcom. The company learned from the mistakes of the previous remake of the third part and listened to the players and therefore changed much of its philosophy in the development of the next remake.
known source Shinobi602 He has obtained some new information that will be attached to the new issue of the website's magazine related to the remix, including the following:
New details on Resident Evil 4 Remake
- There will be completely new enemies.
- Side quests have been added.
- The company removed QTEs from the remake after players complained about their presence in the original version.
- Leon will be able to carry multiple consumable knives.
- There will be a new weapon in the game for the first time, which is the bow.
- Game Informer got to try out several hours of the remake and said it's better than the remakes of the second and third parts. Plus, there are plenty of 1:1 scenes.
The game will feature side quests for the first time, such as delivering three snake corpses, tracking down and killing an injured dog, and the blue medal quest from the original game. Where the merchant will reward the player after completing each side order with some equipment and items.
The game will also feature more two-player puzzles designed to make Ashley even more useful. Examples given in the report include lifting Ashley onto a ledge so she can kick a ladder down, or sending her down a narrow hallway and crawling to open a door on the other side.
When following Ashley, the player can press R3 to tell her to follow closely or stay behind without moving, but she will always follow the player in normal situations.
Ashley will not have a health bar and will instead collapse when she takes too much damage. Players must revive her by pressing a specific button, but if she is hit again while falling, she will die.
The laser pointer that was present in the original game has been replaced with a pointer more in line with modern shooters, but players can find an add-on laser pointer later in the game.
Players will also be able to collect and mix weapon powders, similar to how ammo was crafted in the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, so that they can craft more ammo for their weapon of choice, rather than using weapons they don't like because they'll be forced to shoot them down due to lack of ammo.
A new quick weapon selection feature was also revealed in the game, with which players can equip up to eight guns, knives and explosives and quickly switch between them.
Also upon eliminating one of the enemies, he must be watched as he writhes and dies, and then deliver a fatal blow to execute him, otherwise he will rise again and become stronger than before.
Additionally, the knife can be used to block the opponent's blows, as we saw in the gameplay videos, but the player must remember that these knives can be consumed and become weak, but can be upgraded and improved through the Merchant.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released for PlayStation, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 24.
