A reliable source has managed to access several pieces of information about the next installment of the Crash game. In addition, some short videos of the project were revealed early in its development process.

The first gameplay details have been revealed for the upcoming Crash sequel, which will be called Wumpa League. The information comes from source Liam Robertson along with some demo footage of the game during its early stages of development.

Following the release of the latest fourth installment, Toys for Bob has been teasing a new project for the series on social media. Where it has used a logo that features the Wumpa fruit surrounded by red and orange lines. As the project is set to be revealed at next year’s gaming ceremony, The Game Awards 2022.

The video above shows some raw footage and images from the upcoming game, all of which you’ll see captured in 2020. According to Robertson, Wumpa League is a “competitive multiplayer online team game.” It features two teams of characters from the series competing to collect the most Wumpa fruit.

One of the art images Robertson shared shows a group of Crash characters, some of whom were created for the upcoming game, running towards a golden Wumpa fruit on a pedestal.

It is also said that during the early stages of development, the game was running on the last quarter of the engine with some modifications to the environments and characters. Is this kind of play really what the series needs…?
