Recently, pop and hip-hop singer "Curtis James Jackson," better known as 50 Cent, caused an internet sensation by publishing a post on his Instagram account suggesting an association with the game GTA 6. The singer then followed up the controversy with several tweets on his Twitter account. But what's the truth, Trey? Is it really related to the next installment of the series?

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series is known for hiring some superstars and celebrities. In the current game, GTA 5, we saw singer Dr. Dre as a colleague of 50 Cent and featured as a character in the GTA Online DLC. And with 50 Cent hinting at his presence in the upcoming GTA 6 by posting an image with the Vice City logo, it seemed perfectly logical and realistic. It's even a dream come true for many.

An informed source tried to explain the truth about this connection between 50 Cent and Rockstar's upcoming game. It's all about a TV series called Vice City, in which the singer will star. This means that all previous leaks and rumors that the singer was in the game as a main character or composer of its music were, unfortunately, false.

Vice City will be produced by Paramount+, Lionsgate Entertainment, and Paramount Television Studios. Naturally, 50 Cent (and associated brands) will be directing the new project, which bears the same name and designing the logo for the 2002 game. However, these are two completely different projects in terms of time period and content, even though the logo remains the same throughout.

This project is said to be from the creative minds behind Transformers and John Wick. It will also be released in 50 Cent's own words (before they were deleted). It would also be more impressive than Power, in which he scored 50 hits that turned into a TV series that lasted six seasons.

For now, Vice City is a working title. But Deadline has already released a synopsis that reads:

Vice City follows three friends and former soldiers. They return to their hometown of Miami in the mid-1980s after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran-Contra scandal. The three friends team up with a mysterious Colombian immigrant and combine their financial needs and criminal ambitions to form a heist crew. Driven by a need to be environmentally friendly, they embark on a violent and dangerous path in pursuit of the American dream.

Did you expect the singer to be associated with the game in this way?
