Imagine that the game Gothic 1 Remake was announced for almost two full years before it completely disappeared from view. But thankfully, its development studio has finally decided to make it public, this time with a new demo.
Gothic 1 Remake comes from publisher THQ Nordic, who introduced the original version in 2001. The game is an open-world adventure game set in the Middle Ages. The remake was also announced in 2020, after which the game completely disappeared from the news.
But finally, after all this time, THQ Nordic released a new game show that you can watch below, showing the technical side of the remake, but unfortunately there is still no set date for its release. The game will also only be released on current devices and PC, with the complete exception of its release on previous-generation devices.
THQ Nordic has officially announced its work on the remake of the game, after acquiring the rights to the title and development studio Piranha Bytes. However, the development task will be assigned to a new development team that has been established in Barcelona, Spain, specifically for this task.
As we can see above, there is no core review and this indicates that the game is still in its early stages of development. On the other hand, more news and new images are expected to be revealed next year.
Who remembers the original game and the idea of its remake 21 years after its release?
