Konami Digital Entertainment BV announced yesterday the new addition to the Silent Hill horror game series, as it was announced that Silent Hill: The Short Message is now available for free on PlayStation 5 in the latest episode of PlayStation with a new teaser for the Silent Hill 2 remake.
SILENT HILL: The Short Message will take players on a dark and twisted new journey and is now available for free on PlayStation Store. Additionally, a new teaser from development studio Bloober Team for the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake has shown what players can expect from the new and improved combat system.
Follow Anita, the main character of Silent Hill The Short Message, who is invited by a friend to an abandoned apartment complex on the outskirts of town.
As she explores the terrifying environment, she encounters a dark truth she has tried to forget and lock away. KONAMI has previously announced several new games and different visions that will usher in a new era for the horror series.
The Short Message is a bold, fresh take on a new generation of Silent Hill fans, and with its surprise free release, it’s the perfect opportunity for new players to jump into the psychological horror franchise.
The new free game The Short Message is a short game with a complete story independent of previous and future games in the series. The game is set in the present day and deals with the topic of bullying on social media – a contemporary and familiar topic in modern society.
This will be the last addition to the series for over a decade. We hope that the new generation of players who missed out on previous games in the series will experience the world of psychological horror that SILENT HILL is capable of delivering.
