The Callisto Protocol is out on a Friday, with reviews posted the same day. The upcoming survival horror title will come in at 75GB on PC, but what about the PS5 platform?

An earlier report from the PlayStation Game Size account, which is not usually confused with this news, indicated that the PS5 version has a download size of around 42.794 GB, with pre-loading starting tomorrow. This was also confirmed by some of the influencers who received the review copy in advance.

The same account also mentioned the day one update, which will be around 11.5 GB. Dear reader, you might think that this increases the overall download size, but it actually doesn’t. With the update, the new download size is now 43.005 GB. The PS4 version will receive a 26.9 GB update, so it could be a day 1 update.

The game’s events will take place in a prison called Black Iron. The player will play as a character named “Jacob,” who is a prisoner trying to escape after a series of terrifying events. In previous gameplay reviews, we’ve noticed that there are some clips that may indicate that the game is going to outer space for some of the events.

It's worth mentioning that Glen A. Schofield, studio head of Striking Distance, developer of The Callisto Protocol, explicitly said that there will be no exclusion of core and essential content to make it a paid season pass, which will contain cosmetic items and additional content that has not yet been worked on, but they are planning more on that content next year.

Released on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, The Callisto Protocol was developed by creators Striking Distance Studios, who took inspiration from the popular space horror game Dead Space.
