At the outset, although it has not been long since the release of the game God of War Ragnarok, it should be noted that the content of this report is a severe (burning) of the game's story, especially the first half of it.

A final warning that the content of this report is considered a complete spoiler and spoiler of the game's story. If you haven't tried the game yet, we advise you to leave this page and occupy yourself by reading other interesting reports on the site here.

It is related to the events of the search for Tyr, which occupied both Kratos and his son Atreus in particular, since the beginning of the game, as it became clear to us in the events of the second half of the game and at the end that he was not really the person we were looking for, but was all along Odin disguised as Tyr.

Many players may not have been able to pay attention to this trick at first, but there are those who have great accuracy in observing the characters and their dialogues, since Tyr called Atreus by the name “Loki”, which generated great doubts among some players at first.

But the story writer and game director placed a “hidden secret” at the beginning of the game, which was left for the clever ones to just guess and come to the discovery that Odin is disguised as Tyr to persuade Atreus and his father, Kratos, to recant their ideas and prevent the final confrontation, Ragnarok.

According to what was discovered by one of the players, the game's lower translation was manipulated so that when the fake Tyr spoke, the letter Y in the name appeared without the upper sign, while when the original Tyr spoke, the upper sign would appear and the name would look like "Týr". Game director Enrique Williams says:

When Odin impersonating Tyr speaks, there is no sign of the letter 'Y' in the translation. It is simply "Tyr", but when the real Tyr is encountered later in the game, it is correctly spelled as "Týr".

Williams spoke about how the idea of tricking the players and having Odin disguise himself as Tier at the beginning of the game came about when he sat down with the team and pitched the idea, saying, "What if Tier is Odin? What if he's not Odin?" At the time, the scribe was impressed, and wanted to make sure it was possible to fix the issue and keep the players in the loop. After a week, he responded that it could be done, but the issue requires some changes and the removal of some evidence that could give the issue away from the beginning.

Despite this, the developer left some small evidence indicating that Odin had impersonated Thier, the most prominent of this evidence is the prison in which Thier was found, where there were raven feathers scattered in the small room that resides on the broom, we know the ravens in God of War Ragnarok are a clear reference to Odin, as he uses ravens to move and monitor his opponents.

This evidence was not noticed by just a few players, according to statements by Williams in an exclusive interview with IGN, but it indicates the extent of the intelligence of these players and how much they focus on the story and put the possibilities before their eyes. from the beginning.

Were you one of those players who actually managed to figure out the fact that Odin was hidden in Tier form since the beginning of the game?
