It's a busy day for Xbox after announcing the end of its legal battle against the FTC to complete Microsoft's acquisition of Activision.

On this occasion, the head of Xbox appeared Phil Spencer Taking to his Twitter account to celebrate this great victory, Spencer thanked the court for making the correct and prompt decision on the case. He also spoke about what this victory means for continuing to achieve success.

In short, Spencer said, this outcome allows the Xbox video game brand to continue to expand its reach and bring titles under the Activision Blizzard banner to a variety of new platforms in the future.

Spencer said:

“We are grateful to the court for ruling swiftly in our favor. The evidence shows that the settlement with Activision Blizzard is good for the industry, and the FTC’s allegations about console trade-ins, multi-game subscription services, and cloud do not reflect the facts. Since we first announced this settlement, our commitment to bringing more games to more people on more devices has grown. We have signed multiple agreements to make Activision Blizzard games, early Xbox games, and Game Pass available to more players than ever before. We know that gamers around the world have been watching these events closely, and I am proud of our efforts to expand access and choice for players throughout this journey.”

Of course, after the victory was announced on the American front, the British Competition Authority (CMA) announced that it had retracted its decision, freezing the process and providing an opportunity for dialogue and the search for solutions.

A spokesperson for the British Capital Markets Authority said in an official statement issued in conjunction with the announcement to allow the deal to be completed on US soil that they are ready to consider any proposals from Microsoft to restructure Activision's deal in a way that addresses the concerns that were raised in the final report on which the deal was based.

With that, Xbox will have busy days and many celebrations, especially when the official announcement of the completion of all pillars of the acquisition of Activision Blizzard is released, which we expect to happen in the coming weeks. Of course, the first step will be the appearance of all the company's games through the Xbox Game Pass service, and then Xbox fans will celebrate with Phil Spencer a great victory.

Congratulations to the gaming community for this great victory.
