Spider-Man 2 was the game that got the most talk from players on social media recently, and of course the reason was the presentation of the story, which raised more questions, including those related to the character of Venom. In fact, the latter's objective was revealed in the next game.
Spider-Man 2 debuted at Comic-Con two days ago, as promised by its developer, Insomniac Games. A new trailer was revealed that shows Harry Osborn for the first time in the game and his new identity as the villain Venom.
In the movies, we have always seen Venom trying to kill Peter Parker, or rather, Spider-Man. As for the comics and magazines, the events have varied and developed between the two characters, between enmity, cooperation and, sometimes, alliance. But what does Venom really intend in the next game or what does he want?
Venom simply wants to kill Spider-Man, says Marvel Games president and creative director Rhino where he said:
“Venom doesn’t want to rob banks and he doesn’t want to take over the world. Venom wants to kill Spider-Man.”
There are many reasons for the character to kill Spider-Man, including enmity, for example, between “Peter Parker” in the game and his close friend, the owner of the Venom character, “Harry Osborn”. This is probably the strongest reason that can lead Venom and Harry to assume the intention of ending the life of Spider-Man, specifically Peter Parker, who is “Miles Morales”.
I guess we'll never know that until the game launches on October 20th, exclusively on PlayStation 5. What are your expectations?
