The head of Activision Blizzard seems to be quite confident in the future of the company. He says frankly and with full confidence that the acquisition of the company by Microsoft will be completed next June.

In a new report published today by Yahoo Finance, Activision Blizzard president Bobby Kotik said in an internal company email celebrating the success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that he had a few words for the European Commission regarding the ongoing deal with Microsoft that came into the spotlight. The second of the review.

Although there are ongoing investigations into the deal in Europe, Bobby Kotik remains highly confident that the deal will work out in favor of both companies. The deal will close, according to his expectations, by the end of the current fiscal year (during June 2023), that is, within eight months at the latest, and who knows… we may see the deal go through before June.

Kotik also added that he is excited about all the upcoming games. Expect major growth from the ongoing deal with Microsoft, which represents the largest acquisition and investment that will “help us catch up with the competition.”

There’s a strange calm that’s descended on the heads of both companies, whether it’s Microsoft chairman Phil Spencer or Bobby Kotik. We’ve seen endorsements from “Spencer” about the ongoing investigations into the deal, following a series of wars of words between him and Sony, who are concerned about Call of Duty now existing under the XBOX folds.
