For the past two years, Square Enix has been keeping the excitement around Final Fantasy 16 going, and official news and trailers for the game have gained a lot of momentum in just the past few months.
The first RPG in the series is set to release later this year, and as we finally get closer to its release it looks like Square Enix is ready to start marketing the game in earnest.
As shared by Twitter user Genki_JPN, marketing for Final Fantasy 16 has already begun in Japan, as the account in question has spotted banners and advertisements for the game in Japanese stores, showing off artwork and some teaser images in preparation for its June release.

Last month, Final Fantasy 16 was given an R rating by the ESRB, so all signs seem to point to the game being on track for its intended release date. Of course, fans of the series will be hoping that in the six months between now and release, we'll also see publisher Square Enix release plenty of new details and gameplay demos, so stay tuned.
Final Fantasy XVI will launch on June 22 for the PS5. The title will be exclusive to the platform for at least 6 months, although game producer Naoki Yoshida recently seemed to quash reports that a PC version was in development and said bluntly: “Just buy the PS5.”
