Bungie wins lawsuit against cheat tool seller AimJunkies

Developer Bungie has won a $4.4 million lawsuit against cheat tool vendor AimJunkies. The lawsuit has been ongoing since April 2021, when Bungie first filed the lawsuit. In November of last year, AimJunkies lost its bid to fight Bungie, citing some unconvincing claims in the case.

Developer Bungie is asking for around $$ 2,000 per download of 2,790 downloads for these cheat tools, arriving at a massive total payout after simple arithmetic of around $$ 5.6 million. But with fees, the total would be $$ 6.7 million. These illegal actions always end miserably, even if it takes a long time and crazy losses here and there.

This isn't the only case Bungie has regarding cheating in the Destiny game, as the developer is facing a legal showdown with LeviCheats responsible for other cheats in the game, but it seems the latter will suffer the same fate as the owner of AimJunkies.

We recall that the team became wholly owned by Sony after being acquired last year. At the same time, new reports have emerged indicating that the studio is working on a new project under its new management, in collaboration with other studios. Developer Bungie's projects are shrouded in mystery, and there have been many rumors about this one, which is a new competitive title.

Destiny 2: Lightfall launches February 28 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
