Earlier this year, Bandai Namco revealed Tekken 8. We got a look at the game which looked promising with the return of the most iconic classic fighters, but since then no actual release date has been revealed for the game.

With all these reasons, it seems that Tekken 8's release date is closer than we actually think, at least based on a recent statement from Bandai Namco. In the company's third-quarter financial report spotted by Insider-Gaming, when asked if there were plans for any new major releases in 2023, the publisher said that Tekken 8 could be released in fiscal year 2023, which runs from April 2023 to March 2024.

The company, at the time of writing this report, said that it is “possible”, focus on this word because this means that there is no guarantee that it will be released in 2023, but if there are no hiccups, then this indicates that Tekken 8 will be released next year, at least we hope to have a more realistic idea in a little while.

At the time of its reveal, the game impressed many players in the recent promotional offering, which despite its brevity was a promising teaser for what publisher Bandai Namco will offer us, as it will be a great technical leap for the entire series, as director Katsuhiro Harada and the executive producer of TEKKEN 8 confirmed that all Something in the game was built from scratch using Unreal Engine 5 and without relying on any of the development elements of the previous installments.
