We have seen in the past and on more than one occasion the PlayStation 5 Developer Edition, and we know it more through several videos in which the device was conservatively reviewed, but have you imagined seeing its internal organs?

The images below are from a patent registered by Sony on September 29 of this year, showing the internal details of the device in addition to the motherboard, some internal parts and many other details of the engineering design of the device and its manufacturing method, which certainly contributed to the success of its differentiated cooling system.

This is the first time we've seen the PlayStation 5 Developer Edition from the inside in detail, and it shows how keen Sony is to provide a version with a stable cooling system and additional features for developers.

It is also known that the developer version of the console has a proprietary operating system, and has a development kit that allows testers and developers to test their projects on the console before release, some of which are too few to be treated as a normal commercial device.

In any case, we remind our followers that we also witnessed the presence of the copy on eBay for sale in August 2021, but this time we will see the details of the device's main screen for the first time up close, and here is the most important thing we noticed during the review of the latest version on the Internet:

  • The device model was marked with the code DFI-D1000AA
  • The device has 4 USB Type 3.0 ports in addition to Type 2.0 and Type C ports.
  • Digital screen on the right showing RAM information, network details and some other details attached to an analog arm.
  • Multiple buttons for system, network, sleep, stop and restart.
  • The device does not have a CD-ROM drive, although some earlier versions had a slot for a drive.
  • On the back, the device has an additional USB Type 3.0 port, as well as an HDMI port, and 2 network ports with 10 gigabit speed, with input for a power cable.
  • When the device is turned on, a control panel appears that is significantly different from gamer-oriented systems, which have developer tools and options.
  • There is a message at the top saying that the development kit has passed its expiration date.
  • The device has a “debug settings” option, which allows for many options and control over many features.
  • Finally, there is a special section for the software library and the device space appears as 2.2TB.
  • There's a secret entrance underneath the machine, which turns out to be empty and just expansion space for a futuristic solid-state drive.
