Control sales continue to shine as Alan Wake 2 becomes Remedy's fastest-selling title

Alan Wake 2 is a thrilling psychological horror experience developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games. It was released on October 27, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series Great on several levels.
In a new press release issued by the developer addressing the game's sales and performance, the studio said that the game had sold one million units by the end of December 2023 and was at 1.3 million units sold by early February 2024. This makes AW 2 the fastest-selling Remedy game that Remedy has released to date. Now, it continued in its statement:
“By comparison, Alan Wake 2 sold 50% more copies and three times as many digital copies in its first two months than Control did in its first four months.”
Remedy also added that Control has sold over 4 million copies so far since its release in 2019, and said about it:
“A great game can achieve excellent sales in the long run, and we hope this will be the case with AW 2 as well.”
“We will continue to promote and support Alan Wake 2 and create paid DLC that will expand the story. We will also release updates and undertake other activities to support the game and its community.
In a separate statement, he said Virtual Tero The CEO of development studio Remedy said that the success of Alan Wake 2 had a positive impact on the development of its other projects, due to the redistribution of staff, and continued in his statements:
“The successful launch of AW 2 has supported our other game projects.”
“The Condor remake, Control 2, and Max Payne 1 & 2 have all picked up pace in development thanks to the team freed up from AW 2, and we expect these projects to reach their next stages of development during the first half of 2024.”
