The survival and open-world game Minecraft continues to introduce many new things to the game world every year. Its fans are eagerly waiting for these updates as they chart the future of the Minecraft game. During the past year, we all witnessed the most important event of the game Minecraft Live 2022, which talked about the future of the Minecraft game during this year 2023.
Update 1.20 was announced last year by developer Mojang. Its release date is still unknown and despite this, we know that it aims to bring beautiful things and exciting additions to the game during this year that the game community wants to experience, and we, in turn, are looking forward to it, but the question that arises strongly here, what are the most important things that we expect from this update?
The 5 Scariest and Most Anticipated Things in Minecraft Update 1.20
Blacksmithing tools and armor decorations
Armor in Minecraft hasn't changed for a long time, but that's going to change in a fundamental way in the upcoming 1.20 update. Thanks to the introduction of forge items, which can be obtained from various crafted structures, players will now be able to add edges to each of their armor pieces and, depending on the style of the forge and the material used to apply it, they can create several different designs for their armor that will help them stand out from the crowd.
Additionally, the naked armor models will be reworked for Underworld gear, which players will now need to upgrade their Diamond gear to, which should make Diamond gear more useful in the long run, as well as making it a more valuable feat.
New mobs, beauties and sniffers
Mobs are coming in strong with the upcoming Minecraft update #1.20, where we will have two groups of mobs, the rich desert ship, the camel and the sniffer creatures, which won the player community vote in the summer of last year, “Mob Vote”.
Players will now be able to ride camels that can carry two players at once and are long enough to deflect damage from some enemies, with the exception of spiders.
In addition to camels, players will also encounter a new type of animal, the Sniffers, as mentioned above, and they are the first ancient creature to be introduced in the game. Once hatched and mature, Sniffers scour the desert for ancient plant seeds, which players can collect and use to grow new plants like the Flame Flower.
Archaeology in Minecraft
Archaeology was supposed to be released in the Caves & Cliffs Minecraft update earlier, but it wasn’t released with all its features. But it will find its way in the next update, where we will learn about all the Archaeology features.
Many players have gotten a sneak peek at the feature through the Java version, where you’ll be able to craft and combine various items and buildings to form amazing pieces of art and decorations. As developer Mojang recently mentioned in a blog post, they’ll be adding a number of items that can be found through archaeology, including Sniffer eggs.
Cherry Orchard Biomes
Several new biomes, or what is known as “biomes,” will be added to Cherry Orchard via the Minecraft 1.20 update. Players will get to experience at least one new biome in the previous update, as this new biome will be found at the foot of mountains.
These areas contain new unique blocks, such as cherry blossoms and rose petals. These temperate locations are also home to many creatures and swarms, such as sheep, pigs, rabbits, and bees. Players can also harvest cherry blossoms and use them as building and crafting materials. They can be crafted into cherry wood planks, creating the same blocks that other types of wood can be crafted into.
A new look for bamboo, bamboo stick or moses stick
There wasn't much interest from Minecraft developers in the bamboo plant, or the so-called Moses' staff, or the fortune plant, as it is a beautiful shrub that resembles a reed and is not a reed as many think. It can be used as a fuel source in furnaces and was a snack for bears.
The developer noticed the limited use of this plant, so they revamped it in the latest update. But in Minecraft 1.20, bamboo will be able to be crafted into solid blocks, bamboo slabs, or new textured bamboo tile blocks.
Bamboo panels and mosaic blocks function like standard wooden blocks and can be crafted into a variety of building and decorative blocks. Additionally, players can use bamboo to craft rafts, a new type of boat that has a unique appearance compared to other boats in the game.
