The Monster Hunter Wilds game was very well received during the demo that took place at the Summer Game Fest 2024 event. But there was an opportunity for some media figures and influencers who managed to get their hands on the game and try it out for a while.

In this report, and counting on some opinions from influencers and media professionals, we have managed to collect some points through which we can summarize the general impression of the game Monster Hunter Wilds.

  • It's the next generation of Monster Hunter
  • Smooth transitions between village and nature without loading screens
  • A dynamic day and night system that affects the appearance and behavior of monsters
  • Dynamic weather with rain, lightning, dust storms, etc.
  • A map “twice as big” as any previous Monster Hunter game
  • Missions can be started dynamically in the field, without the need for a mission board
  • You can now switch weapons while hunting and riding
  • New riding animals called Seikrets appear, more agile than Palamutes
  • Attack, collect items and even switch weapons while riding animals
  • Mounted animals have an auto-movement feature that will take you to a specific destination on the map
  • Mounted animals continue to freely explore the world after completing a quest and do not return you to camp
  • Large animals can now run in herds
  • As always, monsters can interact and fight each other.
  • The Light Bowgun, Heavy Bowgun, and Hunting Horn have undergone some major changes to make them feel better
  • This time around, Capcom focused more on the story, including playing around with camera angles and cutscenes.
  • Online co-op mode has seen improvements to player matching
  • Playing the story in multiplayer mode is now more convenient, but there are still some story scenes that need to be watched alone
