Here are 8 characters we hope will appear in Spider-Man 2 on PS5.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is still at least a year away from release, but the game's brief trailer reveals a surprising amount about Spider-Man in general, with major villains like Kraven the Hunter and Venom both confirmed for the game. These are two big names, of course, and any fan of the Spider-Man games will be happy to have them in the upcoming sequel.
But Spider-Man as a character has a rich history full of interesting villains and characters that we've grown attached to over the past few years, and if Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales are any indication, Insomniac loves to delve into this wonderful world and use these characters in their own stories in really interesting ways.
Obviously, this means that while Insomniac has revealed that Kraven the Hunter and Venom are in the game, they're just getting started on some pretty cool stuff. We'll theorize, guess, and talk about some of the other major characters who might have a role in the game, but... Take care, There is a big burn if you haven't touched any of the previous parts.
Harry Osborne, The Invisible Ghost
Let's start with the most obvious option. The post-apocalypse scenes in both games so far have shown that Norman Osborn used a symbiote to keep Harry alive, who, contrary to what Peter and MJ believe, was never in Europe. After reaching the obvious conclusion, my first assumption is that Harry Osborn, not Eddie Brock, will be Venom in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. This has happened in the Spider-Man universe before, so this wouldn't be the first time.
Regardless of whether or not this is the case, we're genuinely curious to learn more about Harry himself. Seeing Venom transform from a friendly human into a monster inside and out would be great, of course, but we also hope to see Harry himself interact with Peter and MJ, and uncover some of the many mysteries surrounding his past so far.
green goblin
Norman Osborn was a key part of Marvel's Spider-Man story, and he was a fairly obscure character in the game, to say the least. Of course, in the Insomniac universe, he hasn't yet become the Green Goblin, even though Peter has been Spider-Man for over eight years. And as one of the biggest and most important villains in Spider-Man history, the Green Goblin is bound to appear at some point in the Insomniac universe as well.
There's no way in my mind that this would happen. With all the complexities surrounding Harry and the Symbiote, Oscorp stumbles upon Marvel's Spider-Man, and this game itself features a number of Green Goblin secrets, all the expectations and secrets are in place for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to bring the Green Goblin into battle.
The mysterious Coach
Taskmaster was a semi-main character in Marvel's Spider-Man, and we've seen him in side missions, so we don't expect him to suddenly become a major threat in Spider-Man 2, but we'd be surprised if he doesn't... which is his return. The first game didn't fully reveal his identity, and we still don't know who hired him to keep an eye on Spider-Man, so there are definitely some question marks hanging over this character.
He may not be at the top of Insomniac's priority list, especially when it comes to which villains to include in the game, but we still hope the upcoming sequel brings him back and sheds more light on the mysteries surrounding him.
Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 2
Given Gwen Stacy's importance as a character in the larger Spider-Man universe, it seems impossible that she won't appear at some point in one of Insomniac's games, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 seems like a great time to do just that. Insomniac has created its own universe and characters and will be looking to bring in more faces. The main character of the entire Spider-Man universe seems like a character like Gwen Stacy is an inevitable addition, and who knows, maybe developer Insomniac could make a standalone Spider-Gwen game like they did with Miles.
Do you remember him?! Yes, he is a chameleon
The Chameleon is one of the greatest and longest-running supervillains in the Spider-Man series, and for that reason alone, we'd love to see him in Spider-Man 2. And now that we know Kraven the Hunter will be in the game, there's a very good chance the Chameleon will be too. This is because the two are brothers, and in one of Spider-Man's most famous stories, it was the Chameleon who essentially coordinated Kraven's "hunt" for Spider-Man.
Mysterio in the world of Spider-Man 2!
Thanks to some Marvel's Spider-Man secrets, we know that Mysterio is already in the Insomniac universe and that Peter has encountered him in the past. Fighting him could also be fun, and of course, it's always fun to see a new version of such a well-known character.
With Venom and Kraven the Hunter already confirmed as main villains and the Green Goblin likely appearing at some point as well, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 already has a lot going on specifically in the villain department, so including Mysterio might have been a bit of a stretch, but, well, it wasn't. There was a lack of villains in the first game, so we wouldn't be surprised if Insomniac did something similar, if not better, with the sequel.
Chameleon
Curt Connors, also known as The Lizard, was one of the first major villains Peter fought in his career as Spider-Man in the Insomniac universe, and we know that despite Peter's efforts to treat him, he is still seriously injured, he is still on the loose. In New York, more importantly, Curt Connors also appears in a post-apocalyptic scene during Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, where he is shown to be working with Norman Osborn in his attempts to cure Harry with a symbiote.
In light of this, it's clear that a larger role for Connors in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is all but guaranteed, but Insomniac clearly has plans for the character, and we can't wait to see what they do with him.
Will we actually see Wolverine in Spider-Man 2?
It's not out of the blue, but at the same time there's basically nothing in the last two games that suggests this could happen, but given the announcement of Wolverine, we still hope it happens because, as we all know by now, developer Insomniac is also making the Wolverine game. games.
I think we're done. Certainly, some of our wishes will undoubtedly be granted, and some of them will be withdrawn even after the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, as the developer certainly doesn't want to release its surprises in just one game, and this brings us to another distant expectation. Regarding the characters, the Spider-Man title will continue for a long time, and the world will continue to grow, and we hope to see collaborations with other superheroes in the distant future. I hope we see these things someday.
