Hogwarts Legacy is still being marketed in preparation for its release, and the game's announcements mostly highlight the most prominent spells that players will be using. Most of the spells focus on fighting and putting enemies in their weakest form, but the spells won't just be about fighting and that's it.
The developer on Twitter posted a very short video of the Incendio mascot that we saw in the Harry Potter series. The clip is only 8 seconds long. In the clip, the player casts an Incendio spell on a lamp to create more light. In the second segment, the player approaches a magical beast and it is placed in the air, the player detonates it with a hit of the Incendio spell as the magical beast flies through the air.

The final clip shows how players can use Incendio to get rid of obstacles, such as a large spider web that might block players' path. It's clear that the Incendio spell will be more than useful in the world of Hogwarts Legacy, and it certainly won't stop there, but we'll definitely see how creative players get when it comes to creating spells.
Curses in Hogwarts Legacy are basic, so there will be a decent number of spells at your disposal. This goes some way to proving the fluid gameplay that no one will force a certain playstyle on any player's path to finishing the game.
Harry Potter fans are in for a treat with their highly anticipated game on February 10th on current-gen and PC platforms. The developer will release the previous-gen and Switch versions at a later date.
