Meanwhile, art director Hirofumi Nakaoka also spoke about the process of redesigning iconic characters for the remake, such as Leon and the aforementioned Saw Man. Speaking of “Sawman” and how the developers decided not to change much of his design in the first place.
While the basic character design is very similar to the original game, the remake offers some additional and even better details. “We kept it, but made some changes taking advantage of graphical improvements, such as details in the clothes” and more, Nakaoka said.
Of course, the Sawman won't be the only terrifying enemy type you'll encounter in Resident Evil 4. Capcom also revealed The Brute, a crazed, cow-headed enemy created specifically for the remake. Resident Evil 4 launches on March 24 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC.
