Today, at dawn, we will receive the eighth episode of the series The Last of Us, which has gained a lot of views and broken many records. But it seems that the current Episode VII has raised a lot of problems in some areas due to its content.

The seventh episode of The Last of Us series came with the name Left Behind, and from its name we can deduce that it is related to the addition of the first part of the game with the same name. However, in the episode, some indecent “queer” scenes were shown, which made them banned for some viewers in some regions.

*BURN WARNING* In the seventh episode, we see the actress Bella Ramsey as “Ellie” Storm Red The role of “Renelli” before and after the epidemic disaster and how the two characters met. During the episode, we see an inappropriate scene between the two characters, which clearly indicates Ellie's sexual orientation.

This specific scene was deleted in some regions and modified by the sponsoring channels responsible for broadcasting the series. Specifically, the modification and caution included North Africa and the Middle East, as stated by OSN+.

OSN+ has previously been criticized for editing out inappropriate gay scenes from previous series. As others have pointed out, this latest instance of censorship was odd because the previous episode of The Last of Us, called Long Long Time, was not edited on the same channel.

This episode focused heavily on the unhealthy “gay” romance between Bill (Nick Offerman) and Frank (Murray Bartlett). GameSpot reached out to HBO in an effort to get more details, and in a behind-the-scenes video, the writer said: Neil Druckmann The scene between Ellie and Riley is a key moment in the story's narrative.

Perhaps OSN+ followed the reaction of the Arab community because of episode 3 and therefore decided to avoid it in episode 7, which only contains a quick shot that could be cut. Of course, due to the official ownership and publishing rights signed between the two networks, we do not rule out that OSN+ has obtained the approval of the network HBO before doing the cut and delete step.

Perhaps the controversy that has recently arisen in Western society will prompt viewers of the series to comment and clarify the matter, or they may ignore it and let it pass without the circle of criticism expanding.
