Naughty Dog Studio has started teasing an upcoming announcement by changing the profile pictures on its social media accounts. The team has several projects in development, and one of them could be making its debut soon.

Well, to be fair, this could just be a small change in the studio's calculations and nothing more. The more boring answer might be that it's just a change made now that it's December, with the holidays coming up.

A less boring, but still very boring, theory is that it's a simple reference to God Of War Ragnarok. But that begs the question of why it only changed now, when it didn't when that game released earlier last month.

The most interesting idea could be that this is an indication that we'll see news about a PS5 upgrade for The Last Of Us Part II soon. Or perhaps a hint at a new faction-themed spin-off and an upcoming online title.

Possibly the strongest theory is that this is our first hint at anything new the studio is working on. Perhaps that new thing is a different title set in a winter or snowy environment. The change in image could be due to a number of reasons. But the change included all of the studio's accounts, and the uniformity of the time is still in doubt.

But what may really confirm that there is something the team is preparing for is the previous news that Naughty Dog is working with another Sony studio on a beloved title. This news has led many to believe that the Uncharted series could be making a comeback.
