Square Enix usually tends to release beta versions of its games shortly before they are released. And it seems that it will continue with the same strategy with its Final Fantasy 16 game, according to statements from the game's producer.
Producer Naoki Yoshida said in an interview with Famitsu that the Final Fantasy 16 beta will launch two weeks before the game's release. That means mid-June, and we also learned that it will allow players to experience the beginning of the story and allow you to transfer your data to the full game and continue playing where you left off in the beta.
Additionally, according to the producer's statements, the game will contain 11 hours of cinematic scenes, as these scenes will be part of the main story and the game's setting. Naoki stated:
“The one thing that was important to us, though, was to tell the entire story from beginning to end, and at that point, we felt we had achieved that. To facilitate that, there are over 11 hours of cutscenes in the main story, all integrated into the gameplay experience.
Director Hiroshi Takai has previously confirmed that the story will take around 35 to 40 hours to complete. This means that 11 hours of cutscenes are enough, however, plenty of side content is also included, which should increase the game's lifespan to around 70 hours or more.
