After a long wait, Sony announced yesterday, through The Game Awards, the release date of its game, The Last of Us Part 1, on the PC platform. This news is joyful for the owners of said platform, but at the same time it is somehow disturbing for the owners of the PS5 platform.
It is known that the price of The Last of Us Part 1, released about two months ago on PS5, is approximately US$$ 70. But the price of the same game in the computer version is only US$$ 50, as was shown on the pre-order page on the Steam and Epic stores.
Bringing the game to the PC platform was highly anticipated and only a matter of time. The problem for players is not releasing the game on other platforms, but rather the price difference between the original platform it was released on and other platforms.
We remember how Sony faced a storm of criticism when it released the remake for $1,70 on the PlayStation 5. Gamers had a logical point, and that's why a game that is not a remake in the literal sense costs that price. It only provided visual and graphical improvements without any addition of content or gameplay.
Players have been demanding that Sony lower the price of the remake, but it doesn't matter who you call. Personally, I congratulate the platform holders for getting the game with its new look and price, which is almost affordable.
We remind you that the game will be released for PC on March 3, 2023. While it was also announced that Sony's other exclusive Returnal will be released for the same platform, as we attach here.
