All PS5 users are always waiting for major technical updates to bring new social features to make it easier to play with friends and features that improve the overall user experience. Today, some users are getting these long-awaited features, which we'll learn more about below.
Starting today, all players participating in the PS5 system beta in the following select regions of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Germany, and France are receiving invitations to test new features for this system before their potential inclusion in a full system update.
New features include the ability to join conversations in the Discord app directly from your PS5 device and the ability to start or request a screen sharing session with a friend directly from your profile, allowing you to chat with friends on other platforms through the app, which is expected to launch on the platform years ago. You can enable your screen reader in the new update because it has been improved.
Starting today, PS5 beta testers can try out some new features:
☑️ Join a Discord voice chat
☑️ VRR support for 1440p
☑️ Manually upload game captures to the PS App
☑️ Easily access your PS4 save data on PS5➡️ More details: https://t.co/YiWfl19kdS pic.twitter.com/ju7Vy9RWAr

The beta also adds variable frame rate (VRR) support for displays that support 1440p resolution. Other new features include PS5-to-PS5 support and the ability to manually upload game screenshots to the PlayStation App.
Using voice commands to capture videos is now available, along with the ability to sort and categorize games as you add them to your playlist. These features are widely supported thanks to the improved DualSense controller that came with the system update. This will also give the new interface officially coming with the update some order.
Sony said in its blog post that a full system update delivering these features will be released globally "in the coming months." Some of the beta features may be changed before the full release or simply not included in the final update, but I suspect none of them will be there because they're all really important.
