For many gamers, gaming is all about trophy hunting and achieving achievements, but that may be a little harder for PlayStation gamers. Sony has told developers that it will enforce strict guidelines against games offering Easy Platinum.

Dexdotexe has received a document from an anonymous source that contains some information about Sony's new policy regarding Easy Platinum games. In the document sent, the company says that games with repetitive content are deceiving both the customer and the company. What is meant here are games that require you to press just one button repeatedly to get the Platinum Prize, of which there are many and many on the PlayStation Store.

For example, let's take the game My Name Is Mayo, in which to get the platinum trophy, the game will only require you to press the X button approximately 10,000 times. And then we have the second part and more recently the third and so on. Despite the fact that such small projects are profitable for the developer and cheap for the player, “their price is US$$1”, but Sony considers them to be unprofitable.

In general, Sony's new policy calls for preventing developers from copying games and their ideas. For example, the game we mentioned contains the same idea for getting Platinum, which is to press the X button approximately 10,000 times.

Sony also mentioned that there are consequences for developers who fail to adhere to the new rules, including multiple warnings and then removal of the game. If the error is repeated too many times, the developer will be banned from releasing their games on the store altogether.
