Last week, it was confirmed that the God of War series is headed to the big screen in collaboration with Amazon Prime Entertainment. While it's still too early to talk about the series, testimonials from its residents have already begun to speak about the challenges they face and, most importantly, how to adhere to the series' core gameplay elements.
During an exclusive interview with the head of Amazon's TV division Vernon Sanders Collider reported on how the game was effectively transferred to the silver screen, with Sanders praising their previous works, such as Invincible and The Boys adapted from foreign works. He added that they are always looking for works that present a deep story and events, whether emotional or epic, and the game God of War, according to his statements, has basically all of these ingredients.
What we're always looking for is whether there's a real emotional core, whether there's a real narrative story, I think [هذا] Part of what makes God of War so special… At the center of it all is the story of fathers, sons and families, set in this massive epic landscape.

The events of the God of War series will begin with the previous part, which was released in 2018, which will highlight the adventure of Kratos and his son Atreus in the worlds of Norse mythology. It is also comforting that the game director Corey Barlog He will have a role in the production of the series, as he will serve as executive producer. This could raise hopes for the series' commitment to the wonderful events presented in the game with special cinematic touches.
At the time of writing, there are no details on when the God of War series will begin. However, as we mentioned earlier, the production process is still in its infancy and it may take several years before we get our first look at it.
So far, how excited are you to see Kratos and his son Atreus on the big screen? And more importantly, who do you think would be the right person to take on the role of Kratos, as well as the character of Atreus in this series?
