We're used to being dominated by big racing games like Forza, Need For Speed, and GT Sport. However, The Crew series in its entirety has managed to attract over 40 million players since the series launched.
The Crew series is developed by Ubisoft's Ivory Towers team. The first installment was released in 2014 and then in 2018, followed by the current second installment. Over the years, the series has managed to reach almost 40 million players during its career, and the number is bound to increase, of course, with the announcement of the third installment, The Crew Motorfest, coming this year.
According to what was released by the creative director, “Stefan Bailey”, through his account on the website Twitter. The aforementioned racing game series has attracted 40 million players. These numbers, of course, do not reflect sales, especially with both games available through subscription services, but they are certainly impressive. Stefan said:
“15 years ago, a group of friends dreamed of creating their own racing game. Ubisoft trusted this group and the Ivory team created it. After 15 years, 40 million players have joined this adventure, and soon it will continue with the new part, always believe in your dreams. Thank you.”
The new game will be released on next-gen platforms, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, as well as previous-gen devices and PC.
Motorfest will allow car enthusiasts to showcase their driving skills through a series of specially designed races, themed events and other unique challenges.
