Striking Distance Studios' Callisto Protocol recently received an update on all home platforms. The developer revealed on Twitter that this update should fix the frame rate and sudden crashing issue reported by players.

The developer also promised more details on other improvements early in the week. “We’re listening and working hard on updates and will have details to share on more improvements early this week.”

The question here is… What about the ray tracing feature on the Xbox Series X, which players have been having issues with? The developer revealed that ray tracing is “supportive and looks great” on the console. However, there are issues with light reflections in ray tracing mode that are also being addressed. “More information is coming this week. We appreciate your patience and support.”

HDR is also said to not work on the Xbox Series X. Striking Distance has not commented on this at this time, but stay tuned for more updates.

The Callisto Protocol is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. The PC version faced a wave of negative reviews on the Steam store due to its slowdown issues, which Striking Distance recently addressed in a quickly released update. As for upcoming new content, Hardcore Mode and New Game Plus will arrive on February 7, 2023.
