According to some reports, Rockstar has blocked the green light to produce a film based on the GTA series, starring rapper Eminem and directed by Tony Scott Director of the movie Top Gun.

According to what he said Kirk Ewing Co-founder of the Veemee app, where he said he had been in contact with the Rockstar boss Sam Houser There have been attempts to reach an agreement to make a film based on the Grand Theft Auto series, starring the famous singer.

Speaking during the Bugzy Malone's Grandest Game podcast, Ewing said that because of the relationship he had with Sam, he even visited him in his hotel room one night, where he knew he would be there for a while, and the two stayed out late and talked about the possibility of making the film.

This was after Grand Theft Auto 3. And I think at that point, Sam still thought there might be something he wanted to do.

I remember getting a call at about 4 in the morning from a producer in Los Angeles with an offer to do a movie, where he said, 'Kirk, we have Eminem starring, and a movie will be directed by Tony Scott, interested?'

At that time, Kirk contacted Sam directly and presented him with the offer, but Sam's response was swift and perhaps shocking, as he outright rejected the offer.

And I called Sam and said, 'Look, you need to hear this.' They want Eminem in Grand Theft Auto and Tony Scott to direct. He said, 'I'm not interested.'

Kirk concluded that Rockstar was withdrawing from any discussion or dialogue about making a film based on the GTA game, as they believed the game they were working on was bigger than any television work they could do.

It is worth mentioning that many rumors have spoken in recent years about the possibility of a film based on the idea of the series, but to date we have not received anything.

In these times, everyone is waiting for Rockstar to reveal GTA 6, which has already been confirmed to be in development. These claims were corroborated after the massive leaks of the content of an early version of the game, which included more than 90 videos that made their way onto the Internet by hacking Rockstar's main servers.

Rockstar, for its part, downplayed these leaks and confirmed that they would not affect the development plan or the release date, which appears to have been set internally in advance and secretly.

Do you think if a movie based on the GTA series had been released, it would have been as successful as the video game?
