The new Xbox user interface has been criticized by testers who got their hands on it in the Alpha version. The long-awaited interface is scheduled to be released next year.

Windows Central, and specifically editor Jez Corden, has discovered that the new user interface coming to Xbox next year will look exactly like Game Pass on TVs. Those who have been able to try out the interface in its early version have criticized Microsoft's inability to listen to gamers' opinions, or rather, ignore them.

The gaming community has requested on more than one occasion that the user interface of their devices be able to show background images, as we see below, the new interface completely covers the backgrounds.

The new Xbox dashboard in the Skip Ahead Alpha basically looks like a mirror of the Game Pass app for TVs.

What has generated the most controversy is that Microsoft conducted a survey among players and discovered that it had never listened to them. The new interface is no different from what is known among its players.

The most notable change in the new interface is the move of the game icons to the top. However, many of the features of the current interface have been abandoned.

for example, In previous versions of the Device Control Panel, you could click the “X” button at the bottom of the Panel to swap content. You could also find a friend to watch their latest activity. Or install a game to see updates from developers. But these features have been completely eliminated in favor of turning the panel into a second storefront.

Ultimately, the new interface is still in alpha and Microsoft will update it by listening to players before launching it next year.
