Epic Games has announced that Fortnite, the popular battle royale game, will no longer support Windows 7/8. The studio made the announcement via Twitter on the game's support account, revealing that players will need to use Windows 10 or 11 to play Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.

For players who are unable to update their Windows version, Epic Games has recommended playing the game through its GeForce Now streaming service. Players have the option to play Fortnite on several other platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Android, and Nintendo Switch.

Fortnite Season 4 Episode 2 has just been released, bringing a number of new features to the game, including a new updated city called Mega City and the addition of protagonist Eren Yeager from the anime series “Attack on Titan” as a costume for players to wear. The update also introduces new vehicles for players to use, such as the Rogue Bike and the Nitro Drifter.

Ride the rollercoasters of “Mega City” and cruise through the streets on a sports bike. Get around the neon towers to the rest of the biome: wreak havoc with steam springs, drive the “NITRO DRIFTER” to the car slide track and hone your kinetic blade skills in Kenjutsu Intersection.

You can find more details about the Battle Royale's Chapter 4 Season 2 update called Mega in this report.

In the past, many new Fortnite seasons have been preceded by some sort of major in-game event. But given the release time of this latest season, it doesn't seem like there will be any major in-game events beforehand. There is one source who has claimed to have obtained information from reliable sources who have assured him that first-person mode is coming to Fortnite, while the same information has been confirmed by other sources he referenced in his tweet, as you can see below.
