Microsoft came out with a rather strange statement through its president Matt Botty. The latter said that Halo Infinite's launch was very bad, describing it as a stumble.

President of Microsoft Matt Buttie He gave an interview via YouTube, reported by GameSpot. In it, he talks about Halo Infinite's poor launch, describing it as a racer who stumbles and falls before the finish line. His opinion was similar to the opinion of the majority when the game launched about a year ago.

Microsoft took a different approach with the game when it was released, as it released the co-op game mode first and then the story mode followed a few days later. On the other hand, it was also supposed to release several other game modes, but that didn't happen.

Matt confirmed that the game had a huge fan base at its launch, as the total number of its players in its first days reached more than 20 million players. But this achievement was represented by the work of more than 100 developers on the game from their homes during the Corona pandemic, and he continued:

These days, with a game like Halo, the game’s launch is just the beginning. There needs to be a plan for content sustainability; there needs to be a plan for regular ongoing engagement. And we’ve broken that plan thanks to players for sticking with us through it.

We know there's a lot more demand and there's a lot we can offer. That's our focus right now... on the quality of life of the game and getting a regular rhythm for content, and getting back to that.

In other news, the game's upcoming ray tracing technology was demonstrated during an AMD event. Surprisingly, gamers weren't happy with what they saw because they didn't notice or find the change, which required the company to do more work on the details.
