The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the biggest titles of the year, and it may be just two months away from its release, and at the same time, the hype for fans of the series continues to rise dramatically. Where fans of the series have been hoping that Nintendo would start talking more about the game as we get closer to its release, it doesn't seem like the company is ready to start that process just yet.
A PAX East event is scheduled to take place in Boston later this month, between March 23 and 26. However, Nintendo has confirmed that while it will be present, it will not be showcasing its next biggest title at the event. In a statement to the Boston Herald, a Nintendo representative said: “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will not be shown at PAX East 2023.”
In any case, there weren't high hopes that the PAX East event would feature a big game like Zelda, but it's good to have confirmation from Nintendo so as not to raise the bar on our ambitions.
Of course, this absence raises the question of when exactly Nintendo will show more about this highly anticipated title, especially as the release date approaches. All indications currently point to a special Nintendo showcase of the game sometime before launch. The game is set to launch on Nintendo Switch on May 24. Let us know what you’re looking forward to seeing the game and when exactly we’ll see the next showcase.
