It doesn't look like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be delayed again, as it's supposed to be released next May, so Nintendo has started to reveal new details about its biggest and most anticipated game of the year. After it was recently shown off with a new trailer and the game's releases were revealed, the publisher has also revealed the game's file size.

As mentioned on the game's eShop page, it will require 18.2GB of storage space. Granted, that's not a lot compared to what you'll see on other platforms, but by the standards of a platform like the Switch, 18.2GB is quite a lot. In fact, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has the largest file size for a Switch game to date, surpassing the 14.4GB file size of its predecessor, Breath of the Wild.

The Zelda game series is old and well-known in Japan and around the world, as it is made up of more than 10 main and secondary parts, and is a type of adventure and action with some RPG elements, relying heavily on imagination, whether in the design of environments or even characters, as well as the story.

The next Zelda title will launch for the Nintendo Switch on May 12 and will be the first Nintendo game to cost $1470, though the company has said that the price will not be the standard for all future first-party games and is not a “trend.”
