Bandai Namco is celebrating Elden Ring's first anniversary with players by revealing some of the game's statistics. The publisher shared some interesting details, most notably the number of deaths suffered by all players worldwide.
The statistics not only included the number of kills, as the most prominent leaders and the number of spells were highlighted, etc., but the kill statistics were the most interesting among the numbers.
Interesting Elden Ring statistics recorded by players
Players have managed to achieve over 9 billion deaths in the nearly 13 months since the game's release. According to death statistics, over 6.2 billion were due to enemies and NPCs, while approximately 180 million were due to another player in the Elden Ring realm. This leaves approximately 1.26 billion players who were killed by the fall, and 1.35 billion players die due to the effects of certain substances, such as Poison, Scarlet Rot, Blood Loss, Frost, Sleep, Madness Effect, and Death's Bite.
As for boss encounters, there have been nearly 6 billion failed attempts to defeat a boss in Elden Ring. Of course, Malina is the most popular boss among those who attempted to defeat her, with over 329 million encounters. The first game's boss, Margit, came in second with 281 million attempted defeats. Limegrave is in third place with 277 million attempts.
In terms of magical abilities and spells, the most popular spell, Rock Sling, ranked first in terms of usage, while Blessing of the Erdtree was the most frequently used spell.
Developer FromSoftware recently announced the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for the game, which will undoubtedly be very welcome news for gaming fans around the world who have expressed their admiration for the studio's new direction and the expanded experience provided by Elden Ring.
