We'll be keeping you updated with the release of Fortnite Battle Royale Update 24.00, where you must save the world in Weeks 8 and 9 of WarGames: Meltdown & Double Trouble, as Version 24.00 also includes an update to Home Base Names, the Heat Session mini-event, and a new starter pack.
WarGames Week 8: Meltdown
Week 8 of WarGames begins on Friday, March 16, 2023, at 3:00 AM KSA. The Storm Shield is in critical condition and is emitting a radiation field that grows over time. This radiation causes vision problems and damages players when in direct contact.
War Games Week 9: Double Trouble
Week 9 of WarGames begins on Friday, March 23, 2023, at 3:00 AM KSA. There are two indestructible golden mummies with loose rotors in your fortress. If that wasn’t scary enough, their bad moods alternate between attacking the heroes and the fortress.
Fortnite Battle Pass Experience Points Update
In the 24.00 update, we will be updating Battle Pass XP to the following:
- Quest experience points have been slightly decreased.
- Mission XP (and daily limit) has been increased. When they meet, the experience point rate will be similar.
- Changed Wargames Diary experience points so that you only get experience points for the first daily mission.
It's time for a packed session
Level up and evolve your favorite items during the Heat mini-event:
- Throughout the event, Boss Quest Alerts will provide additional XP, development materials, re-resources, or perk evolution rewards.
- Four quest series have been added, each with ten stages, each stage upon completion granting unique and better rewards than the previous one. (Hero/Scheme/Survivor XP, Evolution Materials, Perk Evolution Chances, or Gold.
This jam session will be available from March 16th at 3am KSA until April 6th, 2023

Fortnite Bug Fixes
Several bug fixes were included in TU 24.00, including:
- Fixed an issue where plants in Shield Defense maps were not granting loot.
- Fixed an issue that caused the same footsteps to be played regardless of the type of terrain or structure being walked or run on.
- Fixed an issue where there was no lock UI.
