In a rare move, Remedy Entertainment has lowered the minimum PC requirements for Alan Wake 2. This unexpected change came as part of the game's latest update, which all Alan Wake 2 players could download yesterday.
Some of the issues like decreased or fluctuating frame rates that Alan Wake 2 faced in terms of PC performance will now be resolved, and it is certain that the game has gone through some process to modify its visuals and included some features that will help significantly increase performance, which has reduced the game's minimum operating requirements.
Minimum requirements for the new game Alan Wake 2
- Central processor: Intel i5-7600K or equivalent
- Random memory: 16 GB
- Graphics Card: GTX 1070/RX 5600 XT
- Operating system: Windows 10/11 64-bit
- Storage space: 90GB
Recommended requirements
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or equivalent
- Random memory: 16 GB
- Graphics Card: GeForce RTX 3060 / Radeon RX 6600 XT
- Operating system: Windows 10/11 64-bit
- Storage space: 90GB
The reduced minimum system requirements will be far from the changes the game will receive in 2024, as the developer has already announced two expansions for the game that will arrive before the end of the year, and the company also plans to add a gunfight mode to “Alan Wake 2” during the spring.
We're optimizing the PC version of Alan Wake 2, and as a result, the minimum system requirements have been lowered. Please check the updated image!
