We didn't get a release date for the Fable game at the Xbox Showcase event, but we only got a specific release window, but according to a reliable source, we won't be seeing the aforementioned Xbox exclusive this year.
According to sources from Insider Gaming itself, Fable will be released in the third quarter of next year, which is the period between August and October of next year.
The same source also confirmed that the game's development is going well and that Microsoft will officially reveal the game's release date next year during one of the events scheduled to take place in 2025.
For those who don't know, the upcoming Fable game is a complete reboot of the series, as Microsoft has previously stated. It's worth noting that the first installments of the series were released back in 2004, and since then we've seen a new installment of it every generation.
The new preview of the game this time shows larger gameplay footage, as after announcing the game in 2020, Xbox didn't show anything until just a cinematic trailer appeared last year.
The game will be released from day one on Xbox Series devices and PC, as well as on the Xbox Game Pass service. As we mentioned, we may get new information throughout the year about the game, and also early next year, the game will reappear with the announcement of its official release date.
