The classic retro-style first-person shooter, The Invincible, is one of the ambitious titles that Polish development studio Starward Industries and 11 Bit Studios are working on.
The game's events take place on a mysterious planet called Regis III. Once a tranquil planet devoid of life, humanity is rushing to explore it due to the natural phenomena occurring there.
When one of the reconnaissance teams heading to that planet disappears, you'll have to discover what happened to your missing crewmates and embark on a thrilling philosophical adventure. As astrobiologist Yasna, you'll delve into a profound mystery that could lead to the discovery of a serious threat to humanity.
The game is known to be nearly linear. You'll also have multiple choices, paths, and endings to the story. There's a long road ahead to explore the planet's mysterious and terrifying secrets, which will change the fate of you and your crew.
The development team previously confirmed, through their personal blog, that the story will be the center of attention in their game. The developer desperately wants to transport players to a different world. With engaging gameplay, it also relies heavily on dialogue, and survival elements are sparse.
The Invincible will be released in 2023 on Xbox Series X | PC and home consoles and PS5. There is no exact release date after being delayed several times.
