A few weeks ago, Konami announced the start of the second season of eFootball 2023. A series of events and campaigns are planned, some of which have already begun under the title “The Festival Football.”

As part of Japanese developer Konami's ongoing support plan for the soccer game, it was recently announced that a new competition has joined eFootball 2023, called Coppa eFootball Italia. As it will usher in a revolution in Italian esports, seven players have been signed by the most prestigious clubs in Italy's Serie A league.

In a new tweet from Konami's Arabic account, I mentioned that fans across the country have the opportunity to represent the club they love, as SS Lazio is proud to be part of this exciting new chapter in Italian esports.

More about the game:

It's worth noting that the second season, "Season 2," will feature a series of events and campaigns under the title "The Festival Football." This will include the addition of 40 national teams, which can now be selected for a limited time in the offline "Trial Match" mode and the online "Dream Team" mode. National Team Packs for Japan, Brazil, Argentina, and France are now available.

There will also be the inclusion of “The International Cup Experience”, a league competition with artificial intelligence where users can play as one of the 46 available teams and the continuation of the “eFootball International Cup”, a national challenge with a total prize pool of 1 billion in-game currency.

Trial Match in eFootball 2023 Season 2 contains 40 new teams

The offline game mode “Trial Match” will be expanded for a limited time to allow fans to play as 40 national teams.

On consoles, users can also enjoy 2v2 offline gameplay to fully enjoy international competitions with their eFootball™ friends. This will run from Wednesday, November 16th to mid-February 2023.

“The International Cup Experience” is on its way

To celebrate the unusual and exciting 2022 global football calendar, “The International Cup Experience” is coming to eFootball 2023™. It will allow players from 46 countries to compete against AI and compete in the group stage and subsequent knockout rounds to reach the pinnacle of global football.
This will take place between Thursday, November 17th and Thursday, January 12th, 2023.

This comes in conjunction with the ongoing eFootball™ International Cup, where users could be in with a chance of winning a shared prize pool containing over 1 billion in in-game currency. The eFootball™ International Cup has been running since Thursday, October 20th, and ends on Saturday, December 17th.

New National Team Packs

To help users of all levels kickstart their eFootball™ journey, four National Team Packs have been made available. These packs will include 11 players from each country, allowing new users to get a solid foundation for their starting XI or even for more experienced eFootball™ users to use to boost their Dream Teams.

The new National Team Packs contain:

  • National Package: France 2022 (Premium)
  • National Package: Argentina 2022 (Premium)
  • National Package: Brazil 2022 (Premium)
  • National Package: Japan 2022 (Premium)

Each National Team Pack will also include a player who will appear as a “Big Time” card – the new skin for the legendary Epic.

What is “Big Time” in eFootball 2023 Season 2?

“Big Time” is the new cover for “Epic” or Legendary player cards in eFootball. These players can be from the past or present and some of their greatest moments on the pitch have been celebrated with a special card design, all to allow users to recreate those moments or do a better job within the game.

eFootball 2023 is a rebranding of Konami's popular "PES" game series. The change is a major step forward as the brand changes along with the addition of a new football game design engine, gameplay improvements, and rebranding as 'free-to-play' on all the appropriate devices.
