After the end of A Plague Tale Requiem, many players were hoping that the title would return in a sequel. It seems that players' hopes are coming true after developer Asobo Studio posted a job opening for an experienced developer.
According to the latest job posting, the studio is looking for a “senior game designer” to help the A Plague Tale team that worked on the title in the past and support them in pre-production. We can’t expect the reason for the job posting to be as an expansion or any kind of additional narrative content, because we know, in the end, that no additional content is needed for this push. The success of the game also confirms the possibility of working on a new part.
A Plague Tale director Kevin Chotto has said that Requiem is “the end” so far, but we have noticed a somewhat open ending to the game’s events due to the title’s real success. In fact, we have witnessed the great success of the game, which in less than a month has attracted more than a million people, one million people who have played the adventure “Amicia”.
We're not saying we're about to wait for a new sequel by any means, but all signs and hints are that we're in for a new saga and not just DLC. The game's reviews have been very promising, with an average score of 83/100 on Metacritic based on 56 different reviews. Their website, VGA4A, gave the game a rating of 7.5 out of 10.
