EA has released a clip revealing its future plans for Battlefield 2042. During the clip, the company announced the game's arrival on some services, such as XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play, coinciding with the third season.
While Season 2 launched in August and is now coming to an end, a release date for Battlefield 2042 Season 3 has yet to be confirmed. In addition to coming to XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play alongside Season 3, XBOX players will have a free trial from December 1-4, Steam players from December 1-5, and PlayStation players from December 16-23.
The new season will bring us a new character, a map that DICE has wanted to release for some time, and more content. Despite the game's continued support, the lack of a well-known story mode or classic campaign in Battlefield 2042 is something that developers DICE and Electronic Arts seem to want to avoid in the next installment of the game, as evidenced by a job posting for a Design Director.
If you’re thinking of trying out Battlefield 2042 on any of the services mentioned above, let me remind you that Microsoft started on November 5 when it launched the new Game Pass Family & Friends bundle, which offers subscribers a bunch of new features, including account sharing and access to multiple Xbox services. You can check out the subscription here, which costs $14T25.
