We are in a meeting with the imminent release of one of the best installments of the Star Wars series in its second part, titled Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is a sequel to the last title, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn and published by Electronic Arts.
In a new interview conducted by Game Informer with game director Stig Asmussen, he talks about the new combat and movement options in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, saying:
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor follows the story of protagonist Cal Kestis five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Apparently, the Jedi have managed to learn some new fighting styles and discover new ways of moving during this time.
Asmussen also revealed that players will be able to count on five complete combat situations, which brings other benefits depending on the situation, and added about this:
A lot depends on the opponent you are facing. It is beneficial to use certain stances against certain types of opponents, and it is up to the player to figure this out. The player has to read the enemies and figure out which weapon is best.
According to the game's admin, part of the new options is in combat, wielding a combination of twin lightsabers and a “Blaster” laser gun, and a crossover laser sword in the style of the villain Kylo Ren and also added:
This shows where we find Cal in this part of the story. It's been five years since the first game and the Dark Ages are still in full swing.
He is an unconventional Jedi and has to do unconventional things. This is something that would have frowned upon him at the height of the Jedi Order. Cale makes it clear that he will do whatever it takes.
This “cross” sword is a more confident approach. It’s huge and powerful. But you have to be very careful about how you use it because the timing windows are longer with this sword.
Fallen Order's navigation options are also much more varied than in the past, and include a special claw with the ability to tame different living creatures and mechs to ride and navigate them:
It's a new mechanic that Cal can travel great distances by combining different types of abilities. But it's also about how and how to use these elements to overcome the challenges of the game world and take control of it.
The game will be released for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on March 16, 2023.
