Star Wars Jedi: Survivor teases us with a new gameplay offering

We're looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor adding improvements to its predecessor, such as a bigger storyline, a larger world with more detail, a larger and more diverse set of enemies, and more. Another thing the developer is looking to add some improvements to is combat.

In a video posted on IGN, some of the new combat modes were revealed. There's the Single Blade Stance mode, which will be the default mode when the game starts, and this mode comes with medium strength. Meanwhile, the Dual Mode is designed for fighting a large group of enemies and the damage range is smaller due to its strong effect.

There's a Twin Blade mode, which will make you attack faster, but also leaves you more vulnerable to damage, so the focus will be more on dribbling and quick movements. In addition to the modes we've talked about, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will introduce two new modes, Cross Guard Stance and Blaster Stance. The former will be a bit slower, but it deals more damage and lets you use a lightsaber similar to Kylo Ren's.

Blaster Stance, as the name suggests, will finally allow Cal to wield the Blaster weapon and will be the most effective mode for ranged combat. There will still be limits to this range in order to maintain balance within the game and not turn it into a Blaster Stance shooter.

Each mode will have a special skill tree, and we're in for a treat with these modes when we get our hands on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which launches April 28 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
